![]() The 2009 Northwest Solar Expo & Professional Solar Training Conference, hosted by the Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association, is the fourth annual event offering professional solar training and business to business networking opportunities, along with current renewable energy and energy efficiency options that families and businesses can implement today. Professional Solar Training will be open to pre - registered professionals only on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (April 28 - May 2, 2009). Solar Expo Exhibits are open to everyone on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May 1 - 3, 2009). Professional Solar Training on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (April 28 - May 1, 2009) will cover solar programs and incentives, net metering, installation best practices, building codes and legal issues as well as offer basic and advanced training for solar installers. Courses will also be available for those interested in becoming an Oregon Tax Credit Certified Technician and/or an Energy Trust Solar Trade Ally. Manufacturer & Dealer Training Sessions on Friday & Saturday will feature the latest product technologies in PV modules, Inverters, Solar Hot Water, roof mounting systems, etc. Installers and designers interested in the latest information on renewable energy and energy efficiency products and installations methods should plan to attend the event. It’s a great opportunity to see what others in the industry are doing and what you need to do to remain competitive. Solar Expo on Friday, Saturday & Sunday (May 1 - 3, 2009) will have courses & exhibitors featuring a full range of available solar and efficiency technologies – including solar electric systems, hot water systems, lighting, heating, and specialty solutions – that are generating and saving energy today for thousands of homes and businesses here in the northwest. All Saturday & Sunday workshops are included with $12 admission fee. There will be no public workshops on Friday; the exhibit hall will be open.
